This is a portrait of our daughter standing in the doorway of a playhouse her grandfather built for his daughters. My wife played in this little house and our daughter talks about her memories of the house. She especially recalls her Papa John going into a small refrigerator located in the house and bringing out ice cold small bottled Cokes. He would sit under the shade and enjoy the Coke after working in the garden. I thought about that while I was painting this piece. It looks as if my daughter may be looking back to ask if anyone wants a Coke just before she steps inside the door of the playhouse
